Yet another 9/11 thread...

No, it's not a 9/11 thread. I mean, come on, the first page of threads in Off Topic is already LOADED with them. Does everybody need to start a thread? I didn't think so either.

Just so all you little crybabies don't flame me, I'm not protesting 9/11 threads. I'm protesting the fact that everybody is making them. I know that this is an important time of year, to remember all those who died because of somebody's stupid beliefs, and to remember how the events that occured brought everybody together in a time of chaos in despair. All I'm saying is that there will be enough TV shows, internet sites and radio broadcasts dedicated to the tragic events of September 11, 2001. The first page in ATOT shouldn't be loaded with threads.

i havent even turned on the TV today, for this reason..

I dont really want to watch it and experience it all over again, all day today on every channel.

its a very sad and tragic day... its hard enough dealing with it when its not all you hear about.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I wasn't looking forward to getting flamed. If people wanted to deal with their grief here, they could always post in a 9/11 thread that was already created. There are other things to talk about in Off Topic other than last years tragic events. I hate to say it, because even I give prayers and condolences to the relatives of those who died in the WTC, but every Anandtech user may not feel the same way, and they may not want to see full page of 9/11 threads when they logon. Like Rallispec said, not everybody wants to relive those tragic events. That's all I'm saying. Besides, one big thread with everybody posting in it seems more sincere then a bunch of people making 9/11 threads just to get somebody to read it.

OK, that last paragraph is probably hypocrasy at it's greatest, because I could've posted this in an already existing thread instead of creating my own. I'll apologize for being a hypocrite, that's for sure. But I still think all the 9/11 threads posted here are a little overdoing it.

1 car thread per day
1 locked babe thread per day
1 9/11 thread per day
1 which video card thread per day
1 evolution vs. religion thread per day

We'd have about, ummmmmm, 5 threads per day...

Yeah, that, or it would actually force posters here to be a little more creative and post something original. I'd visit OT a lot more if there were actually more than a few topics. Oh wait, I guess you guys are just going to continue posting the same over and over then, eh ? I mean, come on, who really wants me here? LOL.
