Yet Another 754 or 939 Thread...

Alright. I'm not an OCer and I will use a maximum of 2 sticks of RAM. The video card I'm going to use is a Radeon 9700 Pro and my current video is an Intel Integrated (Huge Leap for Me). I won't be upgrade for a long time (1.5 years), and when I do, I'll just get another computer brand new. I'm going to catch up on all the games and play : Call of Duty, BF1942, Doom 3, HL2,Rome : TW, etc. (I'm going to be on 1024 x 768 and I don't care about better resolutions, as long as it's "playable")

Lazy? Well, here are the key points
-Not OCer
-Will use MAX of 2 sticks of 512 to make 1GB ram
-Already purchased R9700 Pro (AGP)
-Catching up on all old games
-Not going SLI anytime soon
-Not UPGRADING anytime soon

I'm undecided about my motherboard, but...

-I will avoid MSI at all costs. These things blow up and google proves me right.
-Asus and Abit 754/939 boards aren't as "great" as NF7-S and A7N8X DELUXE, so I'll avoid them
-I like EPoX, Soltek, and DFI.
-Not spending over $100 (That might rule out the DFI...)
-Don't have the patience to wait to get a USED motherboard so I will probably get a fresh one off Newegg

I don't really know what the point of getting a 939 over 754 is other than upgradeability, but I won't be using most of the advanced features of 939.

I also don't see the point of getting a 939 board with an AGP slot because you guys talk about Upgreadability, but the future is PCI-e so doesn't that mean you will have to REPLACE the NF3 939 motherboard ??? This just kills the point of upgradeability...

So will it be 754 or 939?

And if so, what motherboard should I get? (This is why a POLL was included).

I want to get an EPoX. But I keep hearing about these voltage problems and ram slot problems.

So, if I
1. Am not overclocking
2. Am not using more than 2 slots for ram

Will the EPoX motherboards suit me fine?
