I was walking near the flooded river, and I saw this swimming towards me.

It got out of water and shook itself off like a dog.

Normally everywhere here you see water is dry ground.Notice wayyyy off in the distance at the end of the walk - normally you have to go another 20 feet past that to get to the river.

We saw her new doberman puppy (ears are not fixed yet - but 100% doberman)

as to the puppy, why fix the ears? is it necessary due to health reasons for dobermans?

That was one nice walk. What river is this? Where? I especially liked seeing the armadillo. They are a cool critter for sure! Used to run intio them a lot out in the field at Ft. Hood in Central Texas.

Alot of people crop the dobermans ears to stand up. It is kinda breed trademark. My mom doesn't plan to crop them though, we kinda think it is unnecessary.

It was the Mississippi river in Arkansas.

The river walk was closed due to the high water. It was in danger of being washed away.
