ok, so I have

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+
CPU cooler: Zalman CNPS 9500
RAM: 2048MB Corsair XMS Kit CL3
GRX: 320 MB 8800 GTS
Motherboard: ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe nForce4 x16 SLI
HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 500GB SATA2
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 120GB S-ATA
HDD: 400 GB Harddrive(can't think of manufacturer at the moment)
DVD-RW: Plextor DVD±RW burner, PX-800A, 18x
CD-RW: Plextor CD-RW(model unknown at the moment)
Sound: Audigy 2 ZS

Now I have an oldish PSU in this, a 500W SuperFlower SF500T-14BK, which doesn't have a 24pin motherboard connector or a pci-e connector(I've had to use an adaptor to make it work. However I have the feeling this isn't really enough, so I was looking for a recommendation on a good PSU, should be modular, and as quiet as possible. Any tips?

Modular ey, corsair 520hx would then be your best bet. You could buy an antec earthwatts 500w as well, but it isn't modular. I'm not sure if the 520hx is the cheapest modular qaulity PSU you can buy though...
