YES! They finally stopped blocking forums.anandtech.com at work!

www.anandtech.com has always worked.

They started blocking forums.anandtech.com sometime last year... I was heartbroken

I'm pretty sure they just downloaded a list of community forums to block without ever paying attention to relevance... This IS NCR Corporation by the way. The forums are a great asset for work here. I'm just a contractor so I was never able to submit a request to get rid of the ban. I'm glad someone finally did

It wasn't my first... My brother "figured it out" yesterday and made a few posts (with MY account). I made a few PM replies first thing

Actually, I think HE made his posts in OT too (I RARELY visit OT)

And yes, it is National Cash Register. Now they're probably the biggest data warehouse there is (All those cash register and credit card transactions must be stored somewhere).

Now to illegally fence Wal-Mart's customer data to K-Mart

Actually, NCR is the devil. Blame them for all the "grocery card" programs that track your purchasing and cross reference them with your cc transactions at other stores to target you with junk mail. They're not much more than a big-ass leased-database ("Terradata") and self-checkout point of sale manufacturer now with huge internal IT operations.
