Good job at getting that GPA and do not worry about anyone putting you down because you are doing something with your life compared to majority who just sit there and complain out of their ass and do nothing!

You're talking about a guy that's done 3879 posts in less than a year at AT. He ain't doin jack with his life.

I really don't think there is an excuse for such a low GPA unless you work and go to school (as I do). On other note, I am pretty damn sure my GPA is going down the drain this semester (and I am a senior too ...figures), mainly because my AI class is kicking my ass ( the first class that I have ever taken that I took the midterm and thought I did really well and ended up flunking it...for god sakes I freaking learned how neural networks work!...and there was something else on the midterm...I guess I didn't prepare enough for it). At least I'll get to graduate with 2 years of work experience in my industry :D

Regards

ng

PS:I haven't given up yet on AI, I will do my best to bring up my grade (the class is awesome too, the professor is good too)

I work around 35 hours a week and I still feel that I have more time to study, which I should. ALthough, I'd easily have a 4.0 if tuition were free :)

Yeah, I know how you feel about the 4.0 GPA if tuition was free :D , well at least I am getting experience (which from what I heard is pretty good). I really just want to graduate and get out of college (Only working and not having to go to school, freedom ...I can smell it...only have to hold on for 1 year)

Regards

ng

My GPA for last year alone is a 4.7-something (HS if you couldn't guess)...

I dunno what my total GPA is though.

gj, just remember C=continue. GPA wont matter a couple years out of school.

unless you want to do any kind of grad school. 2.5 is a MINIMUM for most schools, with 3.0 being MINIMUM for a good quality school.

I'm not being an ass, I did the same thing when I was in college. Hell, there was one semester that I went to class 6 times (other than exam days) the whole semester. I was taking 4 classes (15 credit hours) at the time. (Yes this means that there were classes that I did not go to at all, except the exams). It just sucks now that I have a 2.47GPA and am having a tough time getting in to master's programs.

Meh, high school doesn't count for crap if you go to a community college and transfer.

Probably not.

Good to know. What kind of program were you trying to get into at Texas btw? That's really odd, because I know guys who were accepted into UW's engineering program with a 3.0 from a JC.

Which Engineering program did they get into? I have a friend that got into Industrial Engineering with a 2.9 only on appeal. Industrial is pretty much the easiest of the Engineering programs here at UW. I don't see how someone could get into Engineering here when they only have a 3.0 from a JC which I would think would have a much easier curve than here at UW.

Yay for no more suspensions!

Congrats to you BlancoNino. So, what grade are you in ATM? Personally and Ironically, I found Junior High to be much harder than highschool and Highschool more difficult than college, probably due to the restrictions on your freedom or something...

I know, I do need to study. I'm sort of proud to pull down C's while spending an average of maybe 10-15 minutes a day total on homework/studying in ALL MY CLASSES COMBINED. But, I need to do better...sure a 2.5 GPA is enough to let me transfer to most universities...but I'd like to do better :)

Is this at a community college?

That has no relevance whatsoever. You get out of a class what you put into it. And that doesn't mean that people who attend community college are "idiots".

My Mom is going back to school for an RN at a local community college and she says that it is challenging. She is no slouch either.
