YES!! INVITED BY GOOGLE FOR ANALYTICS

I've been using it for just under a year. I like it. But people keep telling me my host does the same stuff. But Google's looks cooler.

On a freelance basis my co-worker has used the free version for some of his clients. We also have the full paid software version (Urchin) that we use at our business.

From an ecommerce and marketing standpoint, the free version actually has more bells and whistles. But there's also an inherent conflict of interest with Google having access to our site's traffic activity (particularly since our clients do a lot of advertising on other non-Google sites) so that's the reason we bought our own version of the software rather than having them host it. The information is supposed to be confidential, but it's still the principle of it.

Other than that though (and the fact that it can be really REALLY slow at times) it's a nice free service.

Microsoft is also rumored to be close to launching their own free analytics service. If it's based off the DeepMetrix platform (as seems to be the buzz) it could be a very nice service indeed. Urchin (which Google now uses) and DeepMetrix (which Microsoft might use) were two of our favorite solutions when we were shopping around for analytics.
