YES, I Too Believe In Traditional Marriage

sportage

Lifer
That is all we hear from republicans after the high court ruling, "I BELIEVE IN TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE".
And I agree 100%.
That being, the current definition of TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE in America has changed since the ruling, don't you know that Mr John Boehner?

TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE is now defined:
Between one man/one woman.
Between one man/one man.
Between one woman/one woman.
And all of the above regardless of race.

And THAT is TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE as of June 26 2013.

So YES, I believe in traditional marriage too.

I reject your definition of traditional marriage. It ignores that "traditional" requires an actual tradition.

Traditional marriage includes marrying off your 12 year old daughter to secure an alliance with another family. People who like traditional marriage are pedos and should be ashamed of themselves.

Also: this is a p&n subject.

This has been discussed ad nauseum in discussion club. You can read the thread over there, but it's pretty easy to sum up the two viewpoints.

Against:
Homosexuals/polyamorous are perverted, defective, sick, against God / Bible, can't breed, attention whores, money grubbers, and it's never been done that way, so they shouldn't marry.

For:
Equal financial / tax rights should be given to all those who choose to become a lifelong couple.

I believe in magic

In a young girl's heart
How the music can free her
whenever it starts

And it's magic
If the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old time movie

Oh, and you should look up "tradition". It'll be traditional when our kids and their kids are doing it. It doesn't just become tradition immediately upon adoption. Not that I care either way.

I don't think that is in any way an accurate description of marriage in america today.

As for the OP:

Me thinks you don't understand what the word tradition means:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/tradition
1. The passing down of elements of a culture from generation to generation, especially by oral communication.

So pulling something out of the ass of the SC is not a tradition.

yes, daughters are the property of the father until such time as she is married and becomes the property of her husband.

this is still traditional marriage in many parts of the world

Well the prior to this ruling "traditional" definition has only been around since 1967. That definition has changed as cultures have advanced. Anyone who claims they believe in traditional marriage is full of shit. They mean they believe their narrow viewpoint should be forced upon all as there's nothing traditional about it. Unless you count bigotry as tradition, which amongst the far right it certainly is.

I believe in traditional marriage as well, but I also believe in nontraditional marriage. And I believe in staying single.

It's all about whatever works for the people involved.

I believe in a bad I believe in love video

You mean except for all the states that never banned interracial marriage?😕

And aren't you the guy who said that Churches should be forced to bow down to your view on marriage?

When John Boehner reads fortunes in fortune cookies, at the end I bet he says "except for gays" instead of "in bed."
