"wha agent"?
now that every thing is stopped, don't access msconfig,

go to start, program's, accessories, system tools..... then ...... system diagnostic's.... ( i think it's system diagnostic's, that should bring up a 2 paned window, listing very vauguely your system components. it should have a "tool's" pull down menu, that menu should have "dr. watson", as an option.

there's a menu option,
sh!t, some one at a 98se system, help me out?? quick!!

Sure that whaagent doesn't just have 1 "a?"

Here is a page that says the whagent is related to the webhancer application. Did you install that?

Force quitting whagent lets you use net apps again, right?

FYI, from the site I mentioned in the above post:

<<
Removal procedures:
As noted earlier, simply deleting WebHancer files from your system will result in a high probability of losing your ability to connect to the Internet. WebHancer modifies your Windows Sockets configuration, binding itself to Winsock so that all packets are passed through WebHancer.

The wonderful (free!) anti-spyware tool AD-Aware has been updated to detect and remove WebHancer, safely and without causing you to lose access to the Internet. You can do this and ignore the instructions below. Or...

kat - if you get totally stuck you know I live in Cambridge and Elita and I could take a look at it for you.

do a search on whaagent.* and see where this thing lives. Delete it if you have to.

You mean ZoneAlarm is popping up warnings? Go into Options in Zone Alarm and select "Save alarms to a file", then after a couple IP alarms cut and paste the log info into a post here.

I get about 4-5 IP access popups an hour from Zone Alarm - most are harmless. What type of alarms? Pings? Port Scans?

eakers - Rogers@home installs 2 network programs that access the 'net. One is a security proggie, the TGsched and the other I can't remeber totally - a modual that starts with "R" perhaps?

List for me EVERYTHING that is running when you do a Ctrl-Alt-Del.

Yes, please list all the IPs that zone alarm is spitting at you, Id like to know who, if anyone, is playing with your box.

Edit: Maybe if I read the message... blah, anyway, if they do not come from @home that would have made sense.

I agree Big Lebowski... IF it keeps crashing, then you got a big problem, can you remember anything you might have downloaded that was unsafe?
