my oldest son just turned 5. Kindergarten roundup is tomorrow.
Tonight, I went to a meeting for t-ball sponsors and parents. I signed up to be a coach for my son's team. 10 teams of 13 kids IIRC. I guess it's funny as hell to watch.

I'm not much of a sports guy, but my son seems to have a knack for it and I'd love to see him and the other 2 younger siblings accel in sports and stuff. In fact, #3 is already throwing like a champ, and he's not even 2 yrs old yet.

Anyway, sounds like 1st practice is this mon or tues. Can't wait

Good for you. It's great when parents take an active part in their kids' lives. I still remember my dad coaching my under 7 soccer team. Good memories.

hahaha..the lady who is in charge of arranging the coaches and what not is..well...not afraid to speak her mind. Jokingly serious, this 200lb 5'11" ish woman said she'd, quote "kick our asses" if she saw us badgering the kids about not making plays and stuff. I wholeheartedly agree :)

Cool.....I don't know if my daughter will be interested in such things or even if she was if they would want a male coach.

Right now she is more of a science and information freak.

Nothing wrong with that... at least she won't grow up with the hope of becoming a professional athlete as many kids do at the t-ball age.
