Hardocp is finally down for awhile. looks like they need new management and got it... in the meantime, you guys here at anandtech will welcome the visitors, right? 😉 😀
 
What's up with XtremeSystems? Their forums were supposed to be back up this past weekend after the upgrade to SSD, but they're still down ...
 
i dunno, both hard and anand forums can get really immature at times.... and both have a wealth of information. i do seem to find better deals in the fs and hot deals section on hard though...

i feel the same way about GMAIL lately...slow slow slow...trying again...still working...etc. I guess its free so no complaining.

always love posts concerning hardocp. it always causes people to make screwed up highlighting tags.
 
You do realize there are some sections in that are useful. Displays for example. The knowledge there about LCDs and TN, IPS, PVA is far more advanced than I see here. There the crowd is busy talking about returning dell panels, taking pictures of their own dell panels to compare with others, etc. I don't see it as much here. I asked a few LCD questions here and when I noticed they couldn't be answered, I moved to to ask. It's either we don't have enough people, or they have more technical expertise.

But if you talk about off topic they're douches there. definitely has more hardware enthusiasts and modders out there though when half our hardware forums is about if a PSU is enough or "MY NEXT BUILD!!!"

and we don't protect f/s trolls on Hard, honestly it's been by far the safest f/s forum ive seen yet. and the best prices too
