If you have the time and want to put in the effort, build an HTPC and put a HD decoder card in it. Then you will have a computer on your HDTV, you can surf on the bigscreen, you'll have an MP3 server hooked into your home stereo, you can **cough cough** play movies on the bigscreen that you have downloaded...
