Yes, another Networking question...

Ok, here is the deal.
I have two machines,
1. I have a win98 box on Cable modem for Internet access.
2. I have NT4 wks with SP6a on a dialup 56K for Internet access and printer hookup.

I am getting a hub in the mail. And I want to network the two computers together. Mainly for file sharing (not a lot of it) and printer sharing. But here is the deal. I don't want the NT box to be used on the cable modem. So, I want to know if I could use NETBEUI on both computers for the LAN. And make sure the bindings are set up to keep the TCP/IP on both computers for the Internet access. Does this make sense? Or is there anything else I need to know? Tricks?

I know you are all wondering why I don't want to share my cable access. But the dialup ISP has my Webpage and the Email I have used for 4 years. I would hate to have it dropped and to lose connection with a lot of people I know.

And I suppose you are wondering why I even want to hook the two together. Well, It's mainly so I don't have to run across the house to use the printer after saving things on a disk. Either I can transfer it over or I can use the printer. The NT box is slow so if I could just tell it to print it saves me about 2 min of trying to get it up and awake from sleep mode.

Thanks.....

Netbeui would be fine for the LAN. Cable modem wouldn't be shared in any event unless you installed sharing software. You could keep your telephone line ISP and still share the cable for faster downloads, and you could access your web page and mail server through the cable connection as well as through the telephone line connection.
