Please see my new build, struck gold riding NVIDIA shares up from the teens so cost is not really an issue. I like to do some gaming and have cool things around the house. Big problem now is waiting on the new motherboards and GPU's to be released.

Any comments ? Any ideas when the 8800GTX and 680SLI will be available ?

If money was truly not an issue I would definitely be getting better RAM, a RAID-5 or at least RAID-1 redundant storage system, a PCP&C power supply, and at least 2 monitors.

May I recommend mobo,
ASUS P5W DH DELUXE/WIFI-AP Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 975X
and RAM to consider,
CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

What mobo requirements are you considering for your new build if the ASUS doesn't meet your preferences?

yeah, if money wasn't an issue, (and it certainly doesnt seem like it if you are willing to spend money on the 8800gtx) , you should get the rapter 150gb model and a PC Power & Cooling 1kilowatt power supply so you can rest assured you can eventually upgrade to 8800gtx SLI without worrying about power.

dont forget a sound card, i personally have an x-fi xtrememusic but i think with a limitless budget you could get the fatal1ty one for $200.

if getting the 74 raptor, get the latest 2nd generation edition as it performs at least or even better than the 150
