YERBA MATE: anyone heard of it?

A friend suggested that I try some and I like it. It's an Argentinian tea and apparently much better than coffee as far as energizing your day. Has anyone heard of it before?

Of course. It's tea. You can get some from Trader Joe's. It's not real tea though. They are not tea leaves. But I guess you can argue any plants that you brew can be called tea. It has a distinct taste.
