I use "yup". Neither "yup" nor "yep" are slang. "Yeap" is not a word at all, slang or otherwise.

waggy is the only person I've ever seen use "yeap." He's the only person I've ever seen use a lot of irregular language, such as sale instead of sell. He's and odd fellow. Yep and yup are equally acceptable and equally informal in my opinion.
