Why should the world act instead of local countries anyway? It is their interests, anyway.
Ah...american money spent instead of theirs...

Yemen: Obama’s Counter-Terrorism ‘Success’ Story Sinks
“This strategy of taking out terrorists who threaten us, while supporting partners on the front lines, is one that we have successfully pursued in Yemen and Somalia for years,” President Obama assured the American people last September.

Just five months after President Obama touted Yemen as a successful example of his counter-terrorism strategy at work, Yemen has descended into a complete free fall...

Things are now so bad in Yemen that the State Department announced on February 11th it was closing its embassy in Yemen for security reasons. To add insult to injury, rebels are now driving vehicles that belonged to U.S. embassy staff, and our marines were ordered to surrender their weapons before they evacuated.

Pentagon loses track of weaponry sent to Yemen in recent years

Since 2006, the US military has provided more than $400m to Yemen, according to research estimates prepared for Congress.

The US has also trained the Yemeni military, particularly on its surveillance drones...

During Barack Obama’s presidency, the US military has propped up the Yemeni security apparatus... Obama had cited Yemen as a model for the future of US counter-terrorism.

In exchange, two successive Yemeni leaders – both now deposed – have opened their country to the drone strikes and other counter-terrorism operations...

Seems like I've heard this story before. Except wasn't it a different country?

Another civil war in Yemen? I don't think it really ended. It's been on and off since the 1962. May as well just let them be.
