Yellowstone eruption threat "high"

Upon reading the article... The phraseology is "Yellowstone ranks 21st most dangerous of the 169 volcano centers in the United States". Dangerous implies destructive potential multiplied by likelihood of event.

More like:
The ground is shaking!
That too 😉

These types of "alerts" are pure propaganda. Like when otherwise respectable scientists said we were gonna get hit with an earth-killing asteroid back in the late 90s. If Rainier blows, it blows. We can't stop it, and 3+ million people in the Seattle area are not going to evacuate on the off chance that it might. In the meantime, they'll keep living there and feeling smug and comfortable that they don't live in Kansas or Florida.

Yet still no one would want beach-front property in Yuma.

😱

Well, you see, no one really knows if it's a safe bet that the falling of California will obey political state boundaries. It might just take Yuma with it to spite us! Maybe west Phoenix will have new beachfront.

/me shakes fist in air at the landmass arbitrarily named 'California'
