We just recieved our ABS system for the school newspaper, and everything is great except for this awful yellow tint on the LCD. i've tried changing monitor settings and driver settings and i can't get anything to make a difference. it looks like urine really. It has to be something to do with the monitor (and not the drivers) because even POST text and everything during boot has the yellow tint. I can't really tell if it is physically the display or what, but i have never seen anything like this, and its making my eyes hurt. any suggestions? graphics adapter is an Xpress 200.

edit: an interesting note...when i go into the color settings in the ATI driver setup, i cannot individually adjust levels of blue, only red and green.

interestingly enough, i had exactly the same problem with my gf's ADI LCD and a 9200 and a 9800 pro...with them the LCD was always a funny yellow tint and i could never quite eliminate it, worked perfectly fine with her nvidia card.

I gave up and just left her with her gf4 mx in the end, as i couldn't make it go away entirely...

thanks for the info, looks like we may be investing in a 6200 here pretty soon. :D

so this is an ATI issue then? i'm wondering how in the world ABS let a bug like this leave their plant...this system was a prebuilt too. It must not be an issue on CRTs or mabye higher end LCD's. uhg. i find it hard to believe that the only solution would be to go to an NV card.

yeah i was amazed that this problem was only limited to ATI cards (both different brands too)...but since your thread is only the second time i've ever heard or seen the problem it can't be very widespread.
