Yellow text on white backround

I have no idea what the box on the left hand side of the screen says. Do I need a piece of red mylar to see it ? is it some sort of secret message ?

I'm gonna guess that it's Dark Night.

Yep, it's dark night but still, yellow text on a white backround should never be an option no matter what the color scheme. It just don't work.
