Light to medium for me. I like to drink my beer, not chew on it.

Depends pn the beer. Michelob light is pretty good but I also like Beck's dark and Spaten Oktoberfest.

Most beer is good. Guinness is the mother of all beers, though. Most people's bodys are something like 80% water. Mine's 80% Guinness. Enjoying one right now.

I was buying some beer at the local store one day and there are always a load of drunk people in there doing stupid things. Anyway, the guy in front of me had a case of coors light and one of the guys was doing some bobbing and weaving kinda dance thing and started laughing at the guy buying coors light and says "Coors Light? Damn thats like sex in a canoe, f*cking next to water!"

That guy was great.

I love dark ales especially (Smithwick's is my favorite), and stouts are excellent, too. Contrary to the widely held belief, Guiness is NOT the best, only the most common. MURPHY'S is the best. :) If you can find it, don't bother with Beamish (so, don't bother finding it).

I also love dark wheat beers. Dinkel Acker and Oberdorfer Weiss are two exquisite examples.

None of the above. People, beer is not categorized as light, medium or dark beer!!! It's categorized by ales and lagers and then subcategories from there. I prefer a stout or a vienna style beer )Dos Equis)

I actually quite like red beer like Rickard's but when it comes to suds I'm NOT overly fussy. I'll drink whatever is offered.

<< Guiness is NOT the best >>

I've had alot of beers, including Murphy's. You, sir, are wrong. And, you are not Irish. And that explains it.

I drink lighter beers on a more regular basis, just cuz they're cheaper. (Yea, I'm a college student, and in a fraternity :p) I'll get medium beers like Bass, Sierra Nevada or Newcastle at bars or when I want to splurge at home. going for Spaten, Guinness or microbrews from local microbrew bar on special occasions.

late.

aceman you are correct, but 99% of the people reading this board probably don't get that techinical. they think in terms of yellow (light), medium, dark, tasty, not tasty and cat piss.

I prefer darker beers myself.
Here's my top five. It's so damn hard to choose a favorite though.

1. Guiness
2. Newcastle
3. Murphy's
4. 1554 by New Belgium Brewing Co.
5. Not really a beer as such but I just bought a case of Sam Adam's Triple Bock.
This stuff kicks ass. Don't go buy it as a beer. It's not, and it sure isn't cheap either.
More like a brandy or such mostly.
