Hi

I have the Intel D875PBZ, with usb 2.0 enabled, and I have Win XP Pro w/ service pack 1 installed. But in device manager, under "Other Devices", next to a yellow "!", it says universal serial bus (usb) controller. If I have service pack 1 installed and usb 2.0 enabled, why do I have an unidentified driver???

Do you have anything in the USB ports? If you do, unplug them all and then plug them in one at a time and see if the ! goes away and comes back.

Well, if you right click and then click 'update driver', it then calls it standard enhanced PCI to host bridge, or something like that

Did you install the driver for the USB2 controller? If yes, have you looked for an updated version?

Obviously the 875 chipset came after SP1. Intel has 875 chipset drivers dated 4/14/2k3 "that inform the operating system how to properly configure the chipset for specific functionality such as USB and AGP". For a small 1.4MB download, worth a shot.

Yes, I did. Really, it's not that big of a deal, all my external devices somehow work just fine.
