Yellow Exclamition By IDE Channel

I built my computer using the MSI K8Ngm2-FID mother moard and the AMD 64 x2 3800 chip. I followed the instructions in post one of this forum, I think. I have gone over it several times but every time I try and load a driver for the IDE channels (I have 6 of them) I get the message it couldn't load them as they weren't meant for this platform. I am using windows xp pro SP2. Does anyone have any ideas of what I must be overlooking? TIA

when you installed Windows it should have MS IDE drivers ( I guess that you tried the nVidia SW IDE?)

2 of your 6 IDE channels are "proper" IDE with the other 4 really being SATA but seen as IDE/PATA.
