a grown man can force himself on a 17-18 year old girl

the flip is not going to be believable. let alone in this case, so the idea of bringing up the whole screwed up sex offender registration thing is just bogusly excessive. she should be fired for bad behavior as an employee, the whole criminal aspect is wasting everyones time and money.

there isn't really a crime when the victim brags about it.

as ninja has already said, the risk of pregnancy is borne by the "adult" in this situation, and that makes all the difference.

A grown man can also force himself on a 30 year old woman. Should we assume all heterosexual sex is nonconsensual? This is not a question of whether the victim was forcibly raped. The question is whether the victim was capable of properly consenting to sexual activity. I would actually argue that on average a 17 year old woman has more understanding of her sexuality than a 17 year old man (hits puberty earlier, has better innate social skills).

Legally speaking the risk of pregnancy is borne by both parties. If a man gets a woman pregnant, he is required to pay child support. In fact, while the woman has the option of aborting the fetus against the father's will, the man (rightly) cannot force an abortion on the woman.

The assumption that the woman is inherently the weaker party in all non-forcible sexual encounters is incredibly outdated. As I said before, I don't know where you delineate the age of consent, but if you make it 17 for a man, it sure as heck should be 17 for a woman.

99 times out of a 100, there is a big difference between a woman having sex with an underage boy and a man having sex with an underage girl.

That would be rape. A grown man can just easily force himself on a 25 year old girl.

Women have had the choice to end pregnancy for the last 30 years.

The risk of child support is born by the young male victim in this case who wasn't old enough to consider he might have to pay child support for the next 18 years. Men have no right of choice during pregnancy.

threat of force is simply more inherent when the older one is male.

no one can force abortion so you can't really go there. like it or not the repercussions are not evenly distributed.

anyways...another one has popped up
