Just wondering if anyone could help me out here...

I've had this Sampo Alphascan 711 monitor (17&quot😉 and the max res I've gotten is only 1152x864. I've read up on the specs of this monitor, and it lists it as being able to go up to 1280x1024. Yet, I've never been able to run the slider up that far. I had a Diamond Viper v550 before, and now I just upgraded to an MSI Geforce2mx card. That didn't do anything. The only time I've seen it jump up to 1280x1024 is when I exited Kingpin, and for some reason it would kick my slider to 1280.

I'm running windows ME...anyone have the same problem, or a possible solution? Would it have to do with refresh rate?

oh yeah! i'm running the latest (official) detonator3 drivers...if that's of any importance.
 
well, when you change your monitor's type to something else (like "svga 1280x1024" or sth. like that) and uncheck "auto detect PnP monitors" you should be able to use that resolution (at least with W95/98 it was so). Only, I'm afraid that your monitor is only capable to display 1280x1024 at 60Hz, which is too flickering for normal usage...

60 hz...blech. i guess it's not worth it then, if it's gonna flicker like you say. i can be happy with what i got now
