Yeah! Microsoft released a plethora of updates and ATI 7.1 Vista

Now that Vista day has finally come then I'll finally be able to trust developers to support Vista, Microsoft released the first Ultimate Extras today, they are Texas Hold Em and some Bitlocker stuff I don't use, also AMD ATI released 7.1 for Vista and man what a difference, great drivers, CCC is much less of a nuisance now.

I don't understand the criticism for Vista, its a really great system, at least it has been so far for me on all of my machines (including my outdated PC) and I'm really liking it, even more so now that ATI has proper drivers for it.
 
Aero seems to be much quicker now with my Radeon 9600 Pro. I am currently RMAing my Sapphire x800GTO for the second time but i'm thinking now that I might just sell it and keep the 9600 Pro. Seems to work fine.

People have to complain about something. Besides, most complaints I've seen come from people with beta versions or just dont have it.
 
Runs great on my Dell E1405 so far...of course, I've yet to install Ofice, VS2005, Macromedia Suite, anything Adobe...lol.

We'll see then...
 
I installed the new ATI drivers for my X700 Pro a few min ago, and when done I rebooted. Then I checked the system performance page, it said new hardware detected and the Vista rating needed to be refreshed. On refreshing my video score dropped.

With the old beta drivers I got a 5.6 and a 4.8

new drivers yield 4.9 and 4.6

yeah....big improvement I think I will go back to the beta drivers as I had NO problems at all with them.
 
There was only 2 of the 3 Extras that were promised... Dreamscene being the notable omission and the only one I was excited to try out. Anyone know why it wasn't released? Or in fact when it will be?

Excuse me if a poor Texas hold'em and drive encryption got old after 20 seconds 😀

those are gonna be slow coming. creative is notoriously slow with drivers and with all the changes to the vista sound i'm guessing they'll be even slower.
