Yayyy for me

About 18 months ago, my wife stopped working due to preganancy and we've had a child. Since then, every pay check has disappeared into this void I call bill-land.

Thank goodness it's January! Wife isn't working yet ... but will start in 8 months or so (she's a teacher).

What's the good news? I've had truck payments of $600/month all this time. My last pamyent is $99 in January and I finally own the damned thing.
Also, I am no longer deducting an extra $250 to my federal withholding as I was last year for capital gains taxes.

So, I'm going to pocket $850/month that was just disappearing previously! Woo hooo.
And to top it off, this Friday, I get my annual (small) bonus of $500 from work. $300 after taxes.

My wife is also getting some extra cash from unused student loan cash. That's $2500!

Cliff Notes:
So, this month, I get an extra $3550 in cash! Woohoooo!!!!!

And going forward, instead of not saving any money monthly, I'll be saving about $850/month!

And my wife eventually will start working again. Teacher bling there!

WOOO HOOOOO!!!!

Extra $ is nice 🙂

I finally got my Christmas bonus from work (after new years lol) and they actually gave me a regular xmas bonus + a bonus bonus ... so all in all i got just under $3K after taxes.

Congrats. It always makes me happy when others come out of a tight financial situation on top. Good work and way to hang in there.
