another vote for E46 M3. Avoid the 745i's like the plague. The first ones to come off the line were plagued with problems.

A girl friend of mine had a 535 and went to the dealer for its first 'tune-up" She called me and asked if $2200.00 was high for a tune up . After I talked her away from the dealer I looked at the cars maint. sch. for a tune up . At the mileage she had , (Iforget) The manual called so much work it was unreal. She still has the car to this day,two years later with no work other than oil/lube changes, and it runs fine. Like the afore mentioned post,fine if you can afford to maintain one.The dealer will bleed you .

I hate Beamers with a passion. The people who drive those things, just drive like crap thats all i'll say. Someone at work talks about them all the time, the most annoying person. Anyway a hella lot other cars i would rather be driving for that price range.
