About freaking time, they've been announcing this storm for the past month and keep pushing it. Morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, morning.... for a month! Finally we got it, and it's a good one. Even had a power flicker that coincided with a lightning strike. Good thing I have good UPSes. :p My server stuff is good for 4 hours.

The burn though is that I spent all day moving the sprinkler around to get my new lawn seeds to grow. I just hope they wont get flooded now.

Also going to know if my new weeping tiles work.

We got storms overnight which dropped about half an inch of rain. First rain we've had in the month of July. The drought is really bad here...

I can imagine, even here it's been very dry and usually it rains a lot. We're under a fire ban right now. No open fires at camp or home. BBQ is allowed though.

I got 3" around me in Central, IL. Didn't realize we got as much as we did until I talked to a couple neighbors.

Move to one of the Gulf Coast states (except TX). We get them just about every other day this time of year. Along the coast itself you can set your clock by it.
