I just upgraded from this:
- no name case, 250 w psu
- asus P2B400 mainboard
- Intel P II 400 Mhz
- 256 MB 100 Mhz
- Diamond Viper V550 TNT 1 16MB
- 10.2 GB maxtor 5400 RPM
- Plextor 40 speed cd-rom
- plextor 4 x cd-r
to this:
- Antec SLK 3700 AMB
- Asus P4C800
- Intel P IV 3000Mhz
- 1024 MB DDR PC3200
- ASus Radeon 9600 XT
- Maxtor 160 GB 7200 SATA
- Aopen 16 x DVD-rom
- NEC ND-2510 Dual layer DVD-RW
how about that for an upgrade?... i can tell you one thing: the difference is...well.. noticable..
and i must say, it took me a while to come to this config, but it was well worth it. stable as a rock, VERY fast and great for my needs: office, webdesign, multimedia and ofcourse a lil gaming..
