But IT guys who work for the district still must make it to work, on time. They cannot call in sick, or use a personal day. If we do use a sick day, we must have a doctors note (or take a deduct). 🙁
 
That sucks. What city/state are you in? What school system do you work for? K12 or Higher Ed...

I work for a University in TN....We hardly ever get out for snow... 😛
 
K-12. Teachers and building administrators get off for snow days, but not classified personnel (IT, Services, etc)...

Especially since in my case, there is no work to be done when people don't email you with service requests. So I will just sit here all day and nef.

maybe because IT techs are a dime a dozen 😛 They dont care what happens to yall!
