Some fscktard decided on Tuesday that it would be REALLY COOL to infect the entire county with about 15 different virii. Fortunately, the workstations that I administrate were better prepared than the rest of the county, which had no windows updates since Win2k SP3 and 6 month old virus defs. One of the video editing stations wasn't as hardened as usual (They're generally independent of the network, but this one was connected for some reason that I can't quite remember) It ALMOST works right, now. The computer science lab is a TOTAL mess. We have to install SP4, which takes upwards of an hour from a local drive, then Windowsupdate, which takes upwards of an hour, then clean, which takes upwards of an hour. 3 hours per machine. Windowsupdate would be faster if it weren't for the fact that the LAN, WAN, and internet link are 100% saturated with all this shiz flying around. I'm going to clean the CS lab in about two hours. The county IT people get to do the rest, unless they have some FVCKING MONEY. But for the next half hour, I am guaranteed 100% NO-COMPUTER-PROBLEMS. That is, assuming this post defeats the network saturation and actually reaches ATOT
