Yay, naked ...

It's true. I got it with QWest about two weeks ago. 🙂 $27/mo w/o an ISP. (I.E. MSN) Just the pipe, that's all I need. I have hosting already.

I think they have screwed themselves by not offering 3mbs. Then they say you have to have their phone service. :thumbsdown:

When I originally signed up for service I was considering the 7.1Mb/s/768Kb/s plan. Instead we went with 1.5/384 since my roommates were cheap.

Very interesting. Would be nice to get DSL without having to get local phone service.

Now I have to think about dropping cable all together (internet and TV).

This is the second time I've had DSL. First time was with SBC. I have NEVER gotten even close to the speeds they say you should have.

SBC:
Says I had 1500/128
Reality = 1000/96

QWest:
Says I have 1500/128
Reality = 800/700 (approx)

Often when checking my speeds with DSLReports, my upload is faster than my DL. 🙁 Will make for a nice FTP server though. 😀

NO, don't do it!! I had cable in San Antonio and never got below 280KB/s downloads. I'll NEVER see that w/DSL...not even half that. :|
