Yay my Mustang is home

Mill

Just picked it up about 2 hours ago. It is so much faster than my Audi it isn't even funny. I let my friend drive it home, and we were on the interstate and I floored it from 50 in my Audi and he passed me like I was sitting still. Have to get a few paint chips/cracks fixed and then it is being sold. Not sure just how I'm going to sell it yet. It is very fast, and I haven't even sprayed it yet.

Sweet Evan! I'm glad you finally got your car back! Did you ever need to take them to court, or did it end without litigation?

🙂

My attorney resolved it in my favor without litigation.

That rules! I assume since you drove it they didn't give it back to you in pieces. Are you still dead set on selling it, or has driving it changed your mind?

Well I drove it and I love it, but it doesn't make financial sense for me to keep it. I'd much rather take the money and payoff my loan on my Audi and/or do some things around the house with the money. I just got approved for a refinance at a much better rate with me as the single borrower, but I can always redo that again with a big downpayment. I'm pretty deadset on selling it. I like the car, but the hassle it brings outweighs what the money can do for me.

What happened to it? Why was it gone for such a long time?

Long story.

Cliffs: Bought aftermarket engine and transmission. Engine and tranny died and it took the shop I bought them from a long time to repair. There are many more details, but that's the gist of it.

Sounds like the reasonable thing to do I suppose. I doubt I could ever part with my Mustang though... Sometimes reasonable is no fun! 🙂

Glad to hear that whole lame situation got resolved fairly well....

🙂

Man, that trunk shot's just ugly. Couldn't you have cleaned up the Dynamatting a little?

Nice car otherwise. <Insert generic "NAWZ" comment> 😀

The Dynmat in the trunk is coming out since I will be removing my amps and stereo equipment.

Good to see. The Shiny Hackjob Aluminum Foil look just doesn't go with it. 🙂

Yeah, to those asking. Basically Mill sent his Mustang to a race shop to have a custom motor put in among other things. He got it back and stuff died like he said, and it was obviously the fault of the race shop. After it was brought back, it became a big mess and the shop was refusing to fix it and/or give it back, and asking for money IIRC. A lawyer was brought into all this, and after several threats, etc of litigation, and years of going back and forth with the shop, he finally got his car back without needing to take anyone to court.

Is that about right man?
