Asus K7V w/ Athlon 600. Turned it off a few hours ago, tried to turn on.. fan's went on, but no BIOS display and no system beeps error or otherwise. I don't have a the manual handy, maybe I'll go looking for, but in the meantime can anyone help? It's been on for a little while and the heatsink's warm so I don't imagine the processor's dead. Fried mobo? But fan's go on.. I dunno. If anyone can help, that'd be great.
Edit: Yeah, I went ahead with the reseating when it just wasn't doing anything. Took main components out and heard the most wonderful thing, this really annoying siren type beep. Stuck the video card in so I could see if anything came up, same noise nothing new. Put the Athlon back in, a new noise! (A little less annoying, though). Finally stuck the RAM back in and it seems to be working now, hurray! God, I missed that one beep affirming all was good with the world.
