Ok, I always wanted to own a 21" CRT but they've always been expensive, especially in my country (Macedonia) where like most parts in europe, HW prices in the past were 30-40% higher than those in the states.
Last year I bought 2 x 17" LCDs, samsungs, very pleased with them. Just recently, a local store started selling second-hand (refurbished) CRT monitors, imported from Germany, used in their banks. Damn, $150 for a 21", and these babies are looking brand new. No scratches, nothing.
They can take 1920 x 1440 at 75hz
but I'm running it 1600 x 1200 at 90hz
Also, 1280 x 1024 is at 100hz
I got 1 for me, my cuz also got one. Now, picture quality doesn't quite compare to a CRT with a trinitron tube, but for $150 I'm more than happy. New trinitron monitors still sell for over $700 here including tax and it's rare to find a CRT over 19" these days.
(BTW, we don't have anyone selling DELL LCDs over here, so prices are still quite high for LCDs)
Here's the pic I promised
