Yay for Dell!!!!!!

Ordered a 1901 FP on Friday, Oct. 17 for $503 (including taxes and shipping) from Dell Small Business. I indicated that I wanted the lowest cost shipping, which is free. Yesterday, I came home and found that Dell sent it via Airborne Express, which I believe is overnight service.

The kicker is that the confirmation email from Dell shows shipping date of Oct. 23.

Don't even bother reading the shipping info from Dell. I usually get my stuff in 3 to 4 days.

The last thing I got came when it was still in transit to be shipped 😕

The wife's Inspiron 1100 (she's cheap and does nothing but email, web, and Word) was scheduled to ship 10/24, but shipped last Friday 10/17.

same here. i'm happy with them.

Man, Dell must be loving Sacramento or something. I jumped on that switch/router deal Sunday night and chose the cheapest shipping option. According to FedEx Tracking, the package went out for delivery this morning! 😀

Since this is a positive thread about Dell, replies will be minimal. 😉

Yeah, what is he thinking.

Hating dell is In right now.

Liking dell is soooo 2002.

Most Axim users probably hate Dell. My mom bought a new Dell desktop (not sure what) and she's had nothing but trouble since she's had it.

OTOH, I bought an Axim in Feb 2002 and my first computer in Jan 1998. I had one problem w/ the computer and that was it.

<---- mostly happy Dell customer...

Parents and in-laws each ordered super budget boxes last December, just before Christmas, which has to be about the busiest time. Each arrived in about 3 business days. Another friend bought the same type budget box/Hot Deal this summer with the same results. They send prompt confirmations and keep you up to date on shipping progress. That's about as much as I could expect from anyone.

Me works for Dell.😀

I hope you ran your resume through a spell checker 😉 (jk)

I was surprised that Dell would send it out via overnight shipping instead of the usual shippers (UPS, FedEx). Would being a small business customer be the reason?

Have all that extra money that they saved by shipping their help desk overseas. If they don't give it back to the customers they have to pay for it as gains.

Dude! You got a Dell!
Mine should be here tomorrow... gift from my father to my kids... it'll be painful to see them with a pentium 2.6 or 2.8 while I zoom along with an Athlon 1000

You could always switch motherboards and processor...no one will know the diff. 😉
