I luvvvv my chase freedom and Bank of america financial rewards card

both gives cash back on purchases (1%) and actually returns it the next month!

the chase freedom even gives 5% cash back for gasoline purchases!! 😀😀

Bah. The chase has nothing on the citibank with 5% on gas, supermarket, and drugstore purchases, 1% on everything else.

That's one of the few shortcomings of the CitiBank.

But 5% on gas, supermarkets and drugstores and one time use cc's outweighs that annoyance.

CitiBank > Chase

you get request the money after it reaches $50 or they automatically send you a check when it reaches $100 so it depends on your usage.

Yes, same here, different cards...

1% Discover - I recently charged $13000 on it. 😉
5% AAA Visa gas card

but waiting a full year sucks!! thats why I dont use discover anymore
You don't have to wait a full year. As long as you have $20... you can use it or apply it to your account. They do it in $20 increments. I've had the card for 5 years and it's been like that as long as I can remember.

eek this is true??

damn too bad not more places accept discover!

Discover's tiered rewards used to be a little better. It used to be you'd have to wait for the anniversary date to cash out (so rh71 is partly wrong). I still use Discover because I don't have a better option.

I don't use a Citi card, because you have to spend a ton to cross that $50 cash-out minimum. Does Citi use an anniversary date like Discover for the rewards accrual?

For $20 in rewards, you can get a $25 Staples certificate that you can (likely) use twice, once online and again at the B&M. If you shop at Staples anyway, this is an effective 2% reward.
