Should I install Windows XP Pro on it? The main reason I would do that is to remove all the crap Dell puts on it. However, will all the Fn+Fx combinations work or I have to install Dell's software to enable that?
I read about batteries and it seems that I should only recharge them when the low battery light comes on? (I know they don't have memory) What other ways are there to extend battery life?

EDIT: ahh bummer...I bought the D-Link 624 G-Extreme thinking that I would get 108Mbps :p
Should have researched this before pulling the trigger. Good thing it was only 32 bucks AR/CPN :)

Dell

Throw it in the trash can. I bought a laptop from an OEM thinking "how bad could it be" but the stuff they have on this OS is visious. My Laptop didn't come with intergrated wireless yet, cam pro-instaled with like 4-5 "Wireless Manager (OEM NAM HERE)" processes that like the start even thought ive cleared all unnessesary programs that start with windows. ughhhh :( they eat like 20mb of ram too.
