Hopefully I'll get my job as a tech support guy at Homestead so I can my 8 hour a day fix and then not have to dread using it at home.

Really though, dial-up sucks. I had to use it for a week at the beach, and for an OT freak like me, it was horrible.

Indeed.

Edit: I was at the beach and the pool for about ~6-8hrs out of the day, the rest was spent watching TV or checking email/AT.

I had dialup for awhile to. Then I asked my neighbor if I could use his wireless connection, and he said yes. I get a half-speed cable connection in two rooms in my house for free. YAY!

Just make a parabolic antenna out of a metal bowl; you should be pulling in signals from down the street.
