Catan requires a bit more thought than what the OP is after I think. Carcassonne wouldn't be a bad choice. Wits and Wagers is good - I could see myself having a lot of fun making my character dance after a few beers.

Ah, yes, Wits and Wagers looks like it could be fun. I've heard lots of good things about Carcasonne too, maybe I'll check that out.
