YAWTT (wisdom teeth)

I just got my wisdom teeth pulled. (Actually 2 hours ago). I was really whoosie (sp?) for awhile, but now I'm wide awake. Isn't that nice? I'm still bleeding though. I have gauze in my mouth. How often am I supposed to replace that?

The dentist should have advised you as to how long between changing it. How was the pain have you had any yet or are you having trouble talking? I have to get them done one of these days.

As often as possible.

You do not want to get dry sockets. Trust me. I know!

I had all 4 out a few weeks ago.

Change the gauze every 3-4 hours. When it feels like it's really drenched in blood, it's time to replace. You should only bleed for the first night though.

No pain yet. I'm still comfortably numb. I am having trouble talking though.

DAY2 UPDATES

I woke up today. No real pain. Slight discomfort on the left side. I feel fine on the right side. Haven't taken pain killers yet, but I'll see how much they do.

One question: I'm afraid of getting things stuck in the sockets. How can I avoid this best?
