YAWTFIWWPT: Owners throw Retriever pup from moving vehicle.

Yet Another "What the Fsck is Wrong With People?" Thread.

Nugget, a 13-week-old golden retriever, might want to change her name to Lucky.

The fluffy blond pup was tossed out of a moving car in North Georgia last month. Nugget's jaw was broken when she hit the pavement, but she waddled out of the way as the car's driver backed up and tried to run over her. A nearby family witnessed the scene and rushed to her aid.

I would like to return the favor to whoever did this. :|

The perpetrators could face felony animal cruelty charges. But that's unlikely because witnesses didn't provide officers with a clear description of the car or the people inside

Damn...too bad. Those people should suffer!

It's bad enough to throw the dog out the window... but backing up and trying to hit it?! :|

The dog probably pissed in the car or something and they overreacted.

One of the Bassetts at the rescue mission we got Stella from suffered a similar incident. Another one was found at a house that a family was moving into. The old owner decided to leave the dog behind during her move.

It is terrible that people treat animals this way and punishment needs to be harsh.

Georgia finally upgraded this sort of thing to felony status a few years ago after some douchebag set a dog on fire. :|

OMG, that pisses me off so bad!!! If you don't want the dog, give it to someone who does!! I mean, our local vet has a place where you can drop of dogs and they find homes for them.

People make me sick!!!:|:|

I'd be willing to settle for a severe sack-beating.

Using a burlap bag full of rusty roofing nails? Sounds like a plan. 😀

Except in this case it does not sound like they have enough info to prosecute anyone. :|

Absolutely inexcusable, & I hope they catch them...

But the outrage expressed in this thread would be better directed towards HUMAN victims.

Here's the story I was referring to earlier about this kind of thing being a felony now in GA.

ATLANTA, Georgia --- Six months after an Atlanta teen set a stray dog on fire, a Fulton County court handed down the county?s first felony animal cruelty conviction.

In a precedent-setting case, 17-year old Victor Goodman plead guilty to aggravated animal cruelty for dousing a stray shepherd mix dog (named ?Honey? by Atlanta Humane Society) with gasoline and setting her on fire in May. Judge Bedford sentenced him to two years in custody and three years probation with counseling. Goodman will also serve 100 hours community service and is barred from owning any pets during his probation period. ?The Atlanta Humane Society is satisfied with the judge?s ruling,? says Bill Garrett, Executive Director. ?Honey?s case sets the precedent for future felony animal cruelty cases not only in Fulton County, but also in the state of Georgia.?

Due to the severity of her burns, Honey was transferred to the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine for specialized treatment. She survived the ordeal, but not without extensive surgery. She was released several weeks later and placed with a Metro family. Honey is reported to be enjoying her new life with her new family.

?The Atlanta Humane Society doesn?t celebrate every time someone is charged with felony animal cruelty because it means an animal has suffered greatly as a result,? says Bill Garrett, Executive Director. ?However, more felony animal cruelty charges in Fulton County tell us that court officials are taking this new law very seriously.?

I have seen similar threads regarding human victims and there is at least as much if not more outrage expressed.

WTF does that have to do with this thread??

If this thread had been about someone throwing a 13 week old kid out a moving vehicle, then trying to back over it, you'd have the same responses...only even more hateful.

I saw something even worse in the local paper a couple months ago.

Someone took a dog, tied a rope around it's neck and to his/her car, proceeded to drag the dog for miles, then threw it through a church window.

Now, some may think I'd be happy for that considering the links in my signature. When I saw read the article, however, I wanted to puke. They need to find the person(s) that did that and do to him what he did to the dog.

Sick bastards like this do not deserve to live...

The girl I was dating about ten years ago worked at the only 24-hour animal hospital in DC. Horror stories abound. She adopted a cat that was brought in after he was set on fire. I adopted my dog after she was shot by her owners.

The most horrible story concerned a dog fight that got completely out of control. What was left afterwards came in a garbage bag, and it was enough to make one of the senior technicians at the hospital (who had been there long enough to see just about everything) sick and weepy.
