YAWTFIWWPT: Dog Dies After Muzzle Is Duct-Taped

*figured out the acronym as soon as he saw it. That being said, I hope the judge orders their heads wrapped in duct tape if they catch them. :disgust:

His condition was so pitiful the dog had to be put to sleep at The Society to Protect Animals in Carneys Point, N.J.

WTF?

He was "pitiful", so he had to be put to sleep? What kind of fscked up logic is that? If the damn thing was alive, why couldn't it have been saved if it was just malnourished?

Some "shelter". :disgust:

Well, the tape had killed the skin on his muzzle and it was all the way to the bone. It probably could've been pumped with antibiotics and nutrients and it probably would've died anyway...

if it was that easy then old people would never die.

Huh.. I guess I see what you're getting at, but I don't think the dog was elderly and on the brink of death due to age...

I guess I should've read the whole article first 😛 I didn't see the part about his muzzle being all rotted down to the bone. 🙁

Sad...

But he wasn't just malnourished - the duck tape has worn through his skin all the way to his bone - which lead to a massive infection and abscessing on his snout - I;m guessing that the infection progressed so far that he wouldn't have lived for much longer.

Man I feel bad when I accidenlty kick my dog(hes a basset hound) hes not agile enough to move out of the way when he sees you coming and hes too short where i don't see him half the time, and he follows me everywhere so hes gotten tangled up in my feet a few times.

Have you guys ever seen that Pet Detectives episode where the dog had the collar embedded in his neck? It's like when a tree grow through a fence... The metal choker collar was totally running "through" his neck and his neck had grown over the collar...

It was quite disturbing... He lived though (shows the amazing resiliency of animals), and was adopted by someone...

I have not seen that show, but I have heard of similar instances. Ah, the seemingly boundless stupidity of humans.

Ever hear about that guy who left his paraplegic wife on the floor of their house, where she couldn't move for months? She sat in a pile of her own feces, developed abscesses in her skin, and literally "grew" to their floor. DISGUSTING :disgust:

Eli, reread the article. You might agree with their decision. The skin/fur underneath the ducttape had rotted and the tape was to the bone. The determined that the dog wasn't going to survive.

Find the culprits, superglue their buttcheaks together and make them die a slow painful death of toxicity due to an impacted rectum

If she was paraplegic, how did she get the necessary nourishment to live for months on the floor? I'm surprised she lived more than a week without water.

Next time read the article....it's muzzle was rotting. Gangrene and the like, ... usually the dead tissue has to be removed....cutting off it's muzzle would be so humane eh?
