Ok, as mentioned in my previous thread a while back, last summer I was running 3 miles fairly easily. Then I had to stop when I went back to school.

So I went and ran 2 days ago, just ran a mile to work myself into it. Obviously, my legs are still a bit sore. Last summer, I ended up having to talk a 2 week or so break from running due to developing a problem where I would feel pain in my knees if I ran but no pain if I walked. I don't know what I did, but how long should I wait before going back?

Wait long enough to post on ATOT and get response. ;)

Now, go work your ass off at the COREC.

Start doing short conditioning intervals like you are but also work in strength building workouts so your legs can start rebuilding. For every 7 days that you don't use a muscle you lose 30% of it's mass. I would wait until it is not so sore you can't run, but not entirely healed from being sore. You can be the best judge of that. 3 days, 5 days max is my guess.
