YAWT: Deadlifts

So my friend talked me into doing deadlifts the other day so i did it with decently heavy weights and now my back has been sore as hell for the past 3 days =(

Its hard for me to sit down and stand up and especially on the toilet -_-

have you ever done deadlifts before? haha maybe you just did too much weight to begin with. well anyway, just make sure your form is good. you gotta be somewhat proud because you know you did something to earn that eh? btw, how much did you deadlift?

Concentrate on using your back less and more of your legs if it is your first time, and use less weight.

As for the soreness I doubt your strained anything, but you are not used to working those muscles and you over did it. To get the pain out or alleviate any strains, lay on your back straight out. Now lift your legs into the air (like the ab exercise) as high as you can. Do 15-20 morning and night It'll help a lot.

Nope have never done deadlifts before nor have i really worked on my lower back at all. I did 135 lbs, 4 sets, 10 reps. Not much but meh.
