RANT ALERT

I asked my supervising attorney a simple question and the motherfricker addresses three other, somewhat related, issues but doesn't answer my specific question. I am the low man here so every decision requires his authority but all I get is vagueness at best. I know the reason he does a lot of this shit is so his ass is covered when something isn't correct. I document ALL of his instructions but I still hate having my professional judgment restricted but also having my hands tied because everything has to flow through this dipshit.

I was warned that the guy was an asshole but I can handle yelling and cursing; I just need the freedom to do my work. Looking up some records it looks like most under his supervision don't make it past a year. The guy before me was here a month and even the best last no longer than 3 years. I've been here 6 months and I've seen at least 5 people let go from a firm of about 20-25 (depending on the week).

END RANT

I tried that on a minor issue. the big boss said the last time someone did that (on a slightly more substantive matter) they were canned on the spot.

edit: Once I grow a pair it'll be me working for myself.
