Does it matter what server I play on?

Why isnt there one big server? Or, rather serveral small servers all reflecting one huge world? (I believe EQ was set up this way)

Is my character transferable from server to server?

Why is the game horrendously boring in the beginning? Does it get better?

How big is the world? I've only seen around the abby.

I have a level 5 Human Mage, which I can always reproduce. What are the racial benefits of different classes?

1) The only difference is PvP (available only on certain servers) and population - some servers have more people than others.

2) I don't know, I guess the hardware requirements. There are over million subscribers, doubt one server would be able to handle that.

3) With certain exceptions no.

4) I didn't find it boring at the beginning at all. Regardless, it does get better.

5) If you've only been around the abby then think about it this way. The zone that the abby is in will take you 10 minutes to cross on foot. There are something like 30 such zones in the game.

6) You can read on up on racial benefits on www.worldofwarcraft.com

It does not appear that starting stats have any affect on hp, mana, and regen.
So it looks like the only real diffrence is in racial abilities.
I play hoard, so I don't really know the aliance races, but I can say that gnomes can be hard to target in mass PVP.

There's a bit of a difference. A gnome mage or warlock will have more mana than a human mage or warlock of the same level with the same gear and spec. The difference is minimal, though.

Humans can detect some invisibility, and gnomes can use their' scape artist' ability, which can get out of snare spells (like roots). It's a nice extra to have in PvP.

1) I'd recomend Bronzebeard, if only because there are already a bunch of AT'ers on it and we have our own guild :)

2) hardware requirements make this impossible, or at least impossible without the game being so bogged down as to be unplayable. also, imagine competing with 1,999,999 other players for every kill.

3) no.

4) it does get better. 1-10 are painfully boring, imo. it gets better once you get into more involved quests, grouping/instances, and pvp/battlegrounds.

5) pretty big.

6) there aren't many significant benefits to different races... each has its own racial abilities, but the different starting stats will have no effect beyond the early levels. each class has its own playstyle, and I'd recomend playing a few different classes up to level 10-15 before deciding on one.

I'm on Bronzebeard....what's the AT guild name?

I have a 53 troll mage already in a guild and a new lvl 10 dwarf pally who doesn't have a guild yet.

I don't know :p

I can't remember what rank anyone is. haha. I'd do a /who knightsofnef and /w a random person.

I know quixfire and jevon can definitely invite, but I can't recall who else the invite power has been extended to.

Quixfire, JevonKearse, Sassy are the only ones who come to mind. There are definitely more people that can invite but I can't remmember who. I should be on later on tonight, try messaging me (Shadowthrone).
