YAWOWT: New rogue twink inc...need some advice

Hi all

with the advent of the 10-19 BGs my brother - who is an addict has convinced me to take a short break of EQ to play with him.

He has a level 19 war with well over 1k HP and he wants me to make a rogue so we can duo the level 19 BG and tear up.

He is a max enchanter on his main so he'll be putting 2 crusaders procs on my weaps.

One of them he said will be a sword from an instanced dungeon that is bind on pickup and usable at level 19. All other gear I have not decided on yet. (ohh and speed chant on the boots) basically all I have decided so far. Looking for good loot ideas - can be droppable but has to be soloable by a 60 priest - and for undead rogue.

What would you all do with infinite money to twink a level 19 out - knowing he will never be higher than 19 - EVER.

Just because they put in lvl 10-19 BGs doesn't mean anyone is going to use them.

I'm sorry but I think your idea is silly. The game just isn't very fun at lvl 19. If you're going to stop there then it's not really worth even starting.

tremendous advice so far.

As i have retired a level 60 char - and my brother has 2 level 60s already we are doing this for fun.

The 10-19 does fill up quite a bit...its pretty fun to run around with twinked out characters.

and while I wait for it to fill up it is fun dueling level 25's and owning them.

Regardless I am sorry you dont think it would be fun...but when "world of boring nothing to do craft" runs out of new content then really this is about all there is left ;-)


So...back to the idea at hand. What gear spots would you guys toss on a level 19? found anything that is kinda off the beaten path? I'll just auction house all blues for his level if I can find em - and greens if no blue available. Either way - it should be fun to try and hit 1500 HP on a level 19. (and I hope to hit rank 3)

*Everyone* is making a rogue alt for 10-19 and 20-29 BGs. A rogue with dual Fire Enchants owns the WSG battlefield, simply because rogues are rather over-powered at lower levels - moreso than most other classes (that certainly gets corrected at later levels.) I made a mage alt to play 10-19 WSG with my 4-year-old son (we're lvl 13,) but it's next to impossible with all the 19 twinks decked in blues. One WSG game had 13 rogues on the field (out of 20 players!)

But as to your question, I dont not know where to find twink-gear for level 19 rogues. I *do* know that a nice level 27 dagger drops early in Gnomeragan. You can have a single high-level friend run you in, drop down to fight the guy, and then ML it to you. Easy, and repeatable.

That said, why not check here for you level-appropriate weapons and then fight out how easy they are to get?

Don't go with dual crusader - in fact I wouldn't even recommend one. Crusader enchants share a ppm (procs per minute) average, thus having two won't result in more frequent procs. Further, their ppm are quite low, and it's rare that you're attacking for the duration of the 15-second str (AP) buff. You do more damage, and heal yourself more, with dual lifestealing. If you can't or don't want to shell out the money & spend time finding someone who actually has the recipe, go with fiery instead.

Do you live under a rock? I hate PvP, and even I know that everyone and their mother is twinking out a 19 or a 29 for low level BGs.
