YAWOWT: Are all US WoW servers in California or scattered?

Are all the US WoW servers in California at one location or are the servers physically located in the timezone stated on the clock in game?

not completely sure. i do know that at launch, when a lot of people were overcrowding the pacific and eastern time zone servers, blizzard said you wouldnt get noticeably worse lag from playing on a server not located in your time zone...

who knows...

From what I understand they have two locations, one on the west coast serving Mountain and Pacific Time Zone servers and one on the east coast serving Central and Eastern Time Zone servers.

This is from second hand and highly circumstantial information (i.e. not a fact), and was also from before when they added servers recently. However, I do get significantly worse pings on Eastern servers, and I'm rarely above 80-100ms on the Pacific and Mountain servers (usually in the 50-80 range)

that sounds about right... it would make sense if they did it like that...

how would users coming into the game just now know which servers are East Coast or West Coast, though?
